Fisherman and New Sunhut Lessee in Dimkope

Fisherman and New Sunhut Lessee in Dimkope

In the quiet riverside community of Dimkope, in the Kwahu Afram Plains South District of Ghana’s Eastern Region, Oyeben Paul is steadily building a life rooted in hard work and purpose.

For the past 5 years, Paul has worked as a fisherman, providing for his small family as both a husband and father of one. Known for his humility and calm demeanor, he is focused on growing his livelihood and creating a better future for his household.

Now, as a ROGEAP Sunhut solar kiosk lessee, Paul is taking a bold step forward— bringing clean energy not only to his own home but also to others in Dimkope. The kiosk will support his fishing business operations while offering the community a place to charge phones, torches, and stay connected.

In a village where energy access is still limited, Paul’s leadership helps bridge the gap— lighting the way for a stronger, more connected local economy.

We’re proud to have Paul as part of the Sunhut network of changemakers in Ghana.
